How My Habits Have Changed

I have trying to pinpoint the exact ways I have changed my eating habits over the last few years. One thing I realized is it hasn't been so much what I stopped doing, but more of what I started doing which has helped me to be healthier.

- I started exercising everyday in some form, to elevate my heart rate for at least 30 minutes.
- I started eating a lot more vegetables by eating a fresh salad on most days for lunch, with some type of protein on it, followed by a big portion of vegetables as part of my dinner.
-I began drinking water more frequently
-I eat less at designated meal times because I began to eat small snacks between meals so I'm not as ravenous at dinner. I have felt my body burn the food for energy instead of going so long between meals that it stores every thing I eat as fat.
-I switched from white to whole wheat pasta, bread, and brown rice.
- I started eating almonds, peanut butter, avocados, and olive oil, and switched to fat free dairy.

After doing this for a time I noticed a big change in my body. Not only did I lose weight but
-I have clearer skin
-I have more energy
-I feel much more coordinated and have better balance
-My immune system is stronger which has resulted in fewer head colds and less sickness
